O*NET Career Exploration Tools  Utilize official U.S. Department of Labor instruments to identify work-related interests and important job attributes, facilitating occupational exploration aligned with personal preferences.

O*NET Interest Profiler Assess interests across six personality areas (RIASEC) to match with related occupations, enhancing career decision-making. Access various versions, including web-based, mobile-friendly, paper and pencil, and downloadable software. A Spanish version is available.

Career ONESTOP Values Matcher – Discover job values like achievement, independence, recognition, relationships, support, and working conditions to find suitable job matches.

Student Interest Survey for Career Clusters A career guidance tool that helps students identify top Career Clusters through a brief survey, available in both English and Spanish for classroom or presentation use. (Currently unavailable as they are updating it – Jan 2025).

Disability Benefits Counseling

NJ Disability Benefits 101 (NJ DB101) Learn about programs that can support your work and financial goals, including how to start or return to work while receiving benefits. NJ DB101 offers tools to help you plan for work and understand how earnings may affect your benefits.

NJ WINS (New Jersey Work Incentives Network Support) This program offers support to SSI and SSDI beneficiaries to begin, continue, or increase work efforts while maintaining benefits. NJ WINS provides educational resources on various work incentives and a range of tools and forms useful for navigating the system, such as the SSDI Tracking Sheet and SSI Budget Worksheet.

Postsecondary Education Financial Aid

Explore key resources to help students with mental health conditions  and their families manage the costs of higher education through federal aid, scholarships, and specialized state programs.

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) The primary gateway for federal student aid, the FAFSA is essential for accessing grants, loans, and work-study funds. FAFSA determines eligibility for federal and most state and institutional aid. Students and parents can fill out the FAFSA annually to ensure they receive all possible financial support for college.

Scholarship Websites like scholarships.com and Fastweb offer extensive databases of scholarships based on academic interests, talents, and cultural backgrounds.

DVRS (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services) For students with disabilities, DVRS provides financial assistance and support services aimed at enhancing educational and employment outcomes. Services may include tuition assistance, counseling, and employment placement post-graduation.
