DESCRIPTION:Training Description\nCultural responsiveness begins with the willingness to have meaningful conversations about identity. In this introductory webinar\, participants will explore the concept of broaching as developed by Dr. Day-Vines and colleagues and learn how it can strengthen engagement\, trust\, and person-centered career services. The session will examine common barriers to discussing race\, ethnicity\, culture\, and other dimensions of identity while providing practical strategies for initiating these conversations with confidence and humility. Through self-reflection and case examples\, participants will begin developing skills they can immediately apply in practice. \nLearning Objectives \n\nDefine cultural responsiveness and examine its role in recovery-oriented and person-centered services.\nIntroduce Dr. Day-Vines’ broaching framework as a practical approach for discussing race\, ethnicity\, culture\, and identity.\nExplore common barriers\, fears\, and misconceptions that prevent providers from engaging in broaching conversations.\nPractice foundational broaching skills through guided reflection and introductory case examples.\n\nRegistration Link:  Register
